We stopped two times in Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia and at the same time the largest city of the country with more than a million inhabitants. Tbilisi is a vibrant, pulsating metropolis with a great mixture of different architecture which reflects its diverse history. Among others you can see influences of the Middle East and the former Soviet Union. The mix of traditional culture and contemporary lifestyle is quite remarkable in Tbilisi. We always felt very comfortable and cared for – home-like. In general we met very welcoming, helpful and open-minded people with a good sense of humor. It is just great to explore the city by walking and to get lost in the streets – relax in a Sulfur Bath or escape to wonderful Gardenia Shevardnaze for a cold, homemade compote – perfect on a sunny day.
We hope you like our impressions!
